Street Food in Lombok - BEST GRILLED CHICKEN in the WORLD!! Mataram, Indonesia!

Street Food in Lombok - BEST GRILLED CHICKEN in the WORLD!! Mataram, Indonesia!

For me, ayam taliwang in Lombok is the best grilled chicken in the world so far!\n►SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos per week: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe\n►T-shirts: https://migrationology.com/store/\n\nOne of the main reasons I wanted to travel to the island of Lombok in Indonesia is to eat the original ayam taliwang, a style of spicy grilled chicken that truly is the best grilled chicken I’ve ever tasted anywhere in the world.\n\nIn this Mataram, Lombok food tour, we eat at some of the best and most legendary street food stalls in Mataram, Lombok!\n\nRM. Bebalung Kelebet - For breakfast I couldn’t wait to try a dish called bebalung, a beef ribs dish. You have to arrive at this place in the morning or they will sell out, and the beef ribs are extraordinary with sambal and rice.\nPrice - 68,000 IDR ($5.02) for 2\n\nIslamic Center Mosque - After the beef ribs breakfast feast, we walked over to have a quick tour of the biggest mosque in Mataram.\n\nRumah Makan Sukaraja - For first lunch, we headed to a restaurant known for their Lombok style nasi campur, where you can choose a mixture of different dishes all over your rice. It was excellent.\nPrice - 90,000 IDR ($6.65) for 2\n\nPasar Kebon Roek\nPantai Ampenan\n\nWarung Sate Rembiga Utama - For lunch number two, and one of the must eat Indonesian foods to try when you’re in Lombok is sate rembiga. The sate is a little sweet, but spicy at the same time, and I would venture to say they are some of the most addictive sate I’ve ever had anywhere.\nTotal price - 89,000 IDR ($6.57)\n\nTaliwang Khas Pak Udin - Finally on to ayam taliwang, and I ordered super pedas, extra spicy. They first deep fry the chicken, then coat it in multiple layers of chili sauce, and then grill it over a ridiculous hot fire, while pouring chili all over it. The result is a grilled chicken that will change your life forever, it’s insane.\nPrice - 40,000 IDR ($2.95) per chicken\n\nSeafood Ikan Bakar 88 - Finally to end this Indonesian food tour of Mataram, I met up with a group at a street food seafood restaurant. It was great to eat and hang out!\nTotal price - about 200,000 IDR ($14.77)\n\nThank you to everything I met in this video for all your help, and thank you for watching!\n\nMUSIC: Love Me Now - https://goo.gl/HwVjdo\n\n***CAMERA GEAR*** I used to make this video (these are affiliate links):\nMain camera: http://amzn.to/2sV0XQO\nMain lens: http://amzn.to/2szLZNf\n2nd lens: http://amzn.to/2wXXT8h\nMicrophone: http://amzn.to/2rBKD3z\nGorillapod: http://amzn.to/2rBFkkI\n\nI would love to connect with you!\nInstagram: https://instagram.com/migrationology\nFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/migrationology\n\nT-shirts available now: https://migrationology.com/store/

Halal Thai Street Food in Bangkok - AMAZING THAI CURRY and ROTI Food Tour!

Halal Thai Street Food in Bangkok - AMAZING THAI CURRY and ROTI Food Tour!

The fish curry was my favorite dish of this Halal Thai street food tour!\n►SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos per week: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe\n►T-shirts available now: https://migrationology.com/store/\n\nThe area around Haroon Mosque (มัสยิดฮารูณ), in the Charoen Krung area of Bangkok, is a great place to find Halal Thai street food (food cooked permissible with Muslim / Islamic traditions). In this video I’m taking you on a Halal Thai street food in Bangkok - we’re going to eat some amazing roti roti breakfast, and some of my personal favorite curry - gaeng gari (แกงกะหรี่).\n\nRoti Mataba Khun Mai (โรตีมะตะบะ คุณใหม่) - This is the first place we stopped for breakfast to eat Thai Muslim style roti. Ying and I split a sweet roti, and a couple of mataba gai (มะตะบะไก่), chicken stuffed roti. Both were excellent, and made hot and fresh right in front of us.\nTotal price - 175 THB ($5.35)\n\nKhao mok (ข้าวหมก) is Thai biryani, and this was actually more of a Burmese style. It rolled down the alley right where we were eating the mataba, and we had to try it. As we were ordering though, the family that lives in the house there in the gate, had watched our videos and invited us into their house to eat - this was completely random and unplanned. The family was extremely nice, and we ate the biryani in their home, and also tried a few of their extra dishes.\nPrice - 90 THB ($2.75) per plate\n\nGaeng gari (แกงกะหรี่) - This is probably my favorite dish of this entire Halal Bangkok Thai street food tour. Gaeng gari (แกงกะหรี่) of this style is typically a Muslim version of this amazing curry. It’s packed with spice, and what I love most about it are the curry leaves that give the curry its unique and strong flavor.\nTotal price - 110 THB ($3.36)\n\nGaeng Hindu (แกงฮินดู) - There’s a curry street food stall as you enter Haroon Mosque (มัสยิดฮารูณ) that you don’t want to miss. They have a curry that they called “Gaeng Hindu (แกงฮินดู)” or an Indian style curry. It looked like Thai massaman curry, but it didn’t taste at all like massaman curry. This curry was amazing, packed full of spicy, and not sweet at all like massaman. It’s a curry you don’t want to miss.\nShe wouldn’t allow us to pay. Thank you for the food!\n\nKhanom soyi (ขนมโซยี) - This is the original version of this Thai Muslim dessert pudding. It was interesting, not my favorite.\nPrice - 20 THB ($0.61)\n\nKuay teow bok (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวบก) - This is a Thai street food dish you won’t find often, it included wide rice noodles and herbs, with shrimp, chicken, and peanuts, with a sweet chili sauce. The sauce was too sweet for me, but I liked the freshness of the dish.\nPrice - 40 THB ($1.22)\n\nKhanom buang (ขนมเบื้อง) - Finally to end this Thai street food Halal tour, we ate khanom buang (ขนมเบื้อง). Most of the ingredients are vegetables and it’s really a refreshing and light mixture that all goes into it. It was a great way to end this food tour, and I was stuffed at the end.\nPrice - 40 THB ($1.22)\n\nYou’ll find Halal Thai street food around the Haroon Mosque (มัสยิดฮารูณ), especially on Friday from about 10 am - 2 pm.\n\nThank you for watching this video!\n\nMUSIC: Copy Cops - https://goo.gl/HwVjdo\n\n***CAMERA GEAR*** I used to make this video (these are affiliate links):\nMain camera: http://amzn.to/2sV0XQO\nMain lens: http://amzn.to/2szLZNf\n2nd lens: http://amzn.to/2wXXT8h\nMicrophone: http://amzn.to/2rBKD3z\nGorillapod: http://amzn.to/2rBFkkI\n\nI would love to connect with you!\nInstagram: https://instagram.com/migrationology\nFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/migrationology\n\nT-shirts available now: https://migrationology.com/store/

A Train Runs Through It: Thailand’s Most Dangerous Market

In Samut Songkhram, about an hour outside Bangkok, is Maeklong Railway Market, one of the largest produce and seafood markets in Thailand. But beyond the selection of fresh fruit and fish, the market has become infamous for one thing—the train that runs directly through it. In 1905, the Maeklong Railway built a commuter train line through the center of the popular market. But rather than move, the vendors adapted to the new conditions, working around the train that passes through eight times a day, seven days a week.\n\nSUBSCRIBE: https://goo.gl/vR6Acb\n\nThis story is a part of our Flavors series, where we do so much more than play with our food. STREET FOOD - CHINESE STREET FOOD - STREET FOOD IN CHINA\nTraveling for street food in China and Chinese cuisine is always amazing! We traveled DEEP in Yunnan for amazing street food and to make this street food vlog in 2017! This is some of the best street food around the world! Here in Yunnan, on the ancient tea horse road in Shaxi, you can find some incredible street food delicacies.\n\nFirst off, we started bright and early for some amazing breakfast street food in China. We adventured onto the street to make this street food video and found some of the BEST snacks from the Yi and bai people of Yunnan, China. This truly is some of the most UNIQUE street food in China, starting out right away with BREAKFAST! The local street food recipes were incredible!\n\nWe tasted a few amazing dishes, bright and early!\n\nFirst up, for breakfast, we found a lady selling this incredible milk cheese, kind of like curdled milk, right on the street. You can eat it plain or you can order it fried for breakfast with a lot of sugar. We ended up trying both. \n\nThen, we walked down the street and had a nice and hearty and healthy lunch soup, and rice as well. Super tasty and delicious!\n\nThen we went for a walk and found some street huajuan rolls stuffed with fermented tofu, very strong and pungent!\n\nAll of this was found during the weekly farmers market on the street in Shaxi every friday! If you come to Yunnan in Southern China, come to Shaxi on a friday to visit one of the most amazing street markets! You have to come check it out!\n\nAfter that, we went for a lunch and tasted classic bai cuisine, including local Matsutake mushrooms and amazing salted pork, which kind of tasted like pastrami! So delicious!!\n\nABOUT THE FOOD RANGER\n-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\nMy name is Trevor James and I'm a hungry traveler and Mandarin learner that's currently living in Chengdu, Szechuan, China, eating up as much delicious .\n\nI enjoy tasting and documenting as many dishes as I can and I'm going to make videos for YOU along the way! BEST Ramen Noodles in New York! New York City Ramen Noodle Tour Part 2

My quest to try the BEST ramen noodles in New York continues as I visit 4 more locations to try out their ramen noodle soups.\n\n1. MU Ramen \nI LOVED this place, BEST Tonkotsu ramen in the city! Don't forget to try their pancakes...just insane.\n\n2. TOTTO Ramen\nVERY hyped up place for a good reason. This was my first time eating here and it certainly deserves its stellar reputation.\n\n3. Hide-Chan Ramen\nThis place was recommended to me by the chef-owner of MU so my expectations were high. But very mediocre broth and noodles did not really absorb the flavor.\n\n4. Minca Ramen\nAnother recommendation. SUPER thick and flavorful broth. The best thing was the pork by far.\n\n➨Get tickets to the best show on earth!!! http://bit.ly/2gu7REI\n\n❖Support me on Patreon: http://bit.ly/2lc36om\nStrictly Dumpling T-Shirts HERE: http://bit.ly/2zp2PRL\n\n►Subscribe for MORE videos about food! http://bit.ly/1hsxh41\n▲ Subscribe to our COOKING Channel! http://bit.ly/2vz2UPT\n\n★↓FOLLOW ME ON SOCIAL MEDIA!↓★\nFacebook Show Page: https://www.facebook.com/strictlydumpling\nFacebook Mike Fan Page: https://www.facebook.com/mikeychenx\nStrictly Dumpling Instagram: http://instagr.am/haveadumpling\nPersonal Instagram: http://instagr.am/Mikexingchen\nTwitter: http://twitter.com/Mikexingchen\n\n◈ Equipment I use for filming◈ :\nSony RX100 Mark V http://amzn.to/2fZwuMG\nPANASONIC LUMIX G85 http://amzn.to/2wx2j5G\nWide Angle Lens http://amzn.to/2g0bbdC\nCamera Mic: http://amzn.to/2fZf4j6\nCamera Lights: http://amzn.to/2vXypVK\nHandheld Audio Recorder: http://amzn.to/2xlmPTO\nTripod: http://amzn.to/2vXA5yE\nDrone: http://amzn.to/2x6KqII\n\nMy Favorite Cookware!\nwok/pan http://amzn.to/2f5G0up\nAlso this pan http://amzn.to/2f5Qnyi\nPressure pan http://amzn.to/2wJIS7u\nNonstick pot http://amzn.to/2wHRgq1\n\n✉Send stuff to our PO Box!\nMike Chen \nPO Box 610 \nMiddletown, NY 10940\n\n------------------------------\n♩ ♫\n- Days In New York by Alvaro Angeloro: http://www.hooksounds.com\n- Energetic Rock by Rodrigo Vicente: http://www.hooksounds.com\n- Funkorama by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/)\nSource: http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/index.html?isrc=USUAN1100474\nArtist: http://incompetech.com/\n- Blooms by Patrick Ellis: https://soundcloud.com/patrick\n- First Sight by Ikson @ikson\nMusic provided by Free Music for Vlogs youtu.be/Wu6zU23_5Yo\n- Bit Quest by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) \nLicensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0\nhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/\n- Boost by Joakim Karud http://soundcloud.com/joakimkarud
