Exactly 20 years since the first Pulsar was born, Bajaj has written a new chapter in the icon’s legacy. Yes, the new Pulsar F250 and N250 have been launched, the former priced at Rs 1.40 lakh while the latter carries a sticker price of Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). While it is hardly a bargain, the pricing seems to be pretty much what we expected, just enough to give its competition some worry. The Pulsar N250 is just around Rs 2,000 dearer than the Yamaha FZ25 and quite a lot cheaper than the Suzuki Gixxer 250.You get an all new 249.07cc single-cylinder air-/oil-cooled powerplant that makes 24.5PS and 21.5Nm. The five-speed gearbox comes equipped with a slip-and-assist clutch. Bajaj has designed an all-new split dual-cradle frame for the Pulsar 250 with suspension duties now being handled by a telescopic fork and a preload-adjustable gas-charged monoshock.It is quite feature-packed too. On the F250, you get a new LED projector headlight that’s flanked by sleek LED ‘brow’ DRLs, which is housed in the redesigned half-fairing. Even the turn indicators and tail light are LEDs. No full digital dash but the info cluster has a zero-bezel design. And Bajaj has even thrown in a USB charger to keep the TikTok generation happy.For the N250, Bajaj has gone for a new bikini fairing and it looks eerily similar to the Yamaha MT-15. Aside from the absence of the fairing, the N250 also gets a single-piece flat handlebar and not clip-on bars like the F250.
