You Can't Draw The New Northern Line Extension On A Map

The Northern Line Extension is coming with two new stations - Battersea Power Station and Nine Elms, and because they're being placed into Zone 1, Kennington Tube Station has already changed from a Zone 2 station to a Zone 1/2 station instead.This means that fares have changed, which is fine ... but how is this going to be displayed on future maps? Storm Barra hits Dawlish and GWR's train service hard

Weather warnings were already in place in Dawlish for Storm Barra however we didn't expect so much trouble on the railways.At least two trains broke down during the storm cutting of the railway line for over three hours. The NEW Lumo Train from London to Edinburgh

There's a new train operator in town! A few years ago, there was an offer for an Open Access Operator to run services up the East Coast Mainline, and starting with two return trips a day (this will later increase to five) that's exactly what LUMO are doing, with their 'one class only' five carriage train, it's a very cheap way to travel ...Things which didn't make the edit:Legroom on seats - note that there are 'priority seats' which give you EXTRA legroom which was great - I can't work out how to reserve these on their website though. Also, there are just TWO highly coveted table seats in each carriage, again I didn't try booking a table seat but I beat these will be highly sought after. The WiFi works a treat too, and lets you to connect to their onboard streaming service which worked flawlessly for me.I *really do* think think they should remove two of the windowless seats in each carriage, and turn them into luggage rucks instead. The Last Ever Pacer Train

The Pacer trains are finally disappearing from the rail network (although some will be saved by moving to heritage railways). Introduced in the 1980's there were only meant to run for 20 years, but were still in use in 2019, when Rail Vehicle Accessibility Regulations required them to be retired.Northern's went in November 2020, GWR said goodbye to theirs in in December 2020, and the end of May saw Transport for Wales Class 143 finally run for the last time, so with two units out in operation, I went for one last bumpy, squeaky, trip, and say farewell ...Thanks to James Bennet from TfW, more on their new fleet of trains is here: https://tfwrail.wales/metro/trainsThe other James whom helped the mother up with her pushchair is a volunteer at the Network SouthEast Railway Society. you should go visit them! New Class 484 Tube Trains on the Island Line

The Island Line has reopened with new old Tube Trains! Closed at the beginning of January 2021, when the old 1938 stock trains came to an end, the line reopened on November 1st 2021 with the new Class 484 'D Stock' trains that have come from the Underground District Line, converted by Vivarail, and so I went for a ride to see what was new. I did also later discover that the trains themselves have an accessibility ramp on board which can be deployed by the guard, as not all stations are staffed. Ticket wise, you might like to know that I bought a Island Line Day Ranger ticket, outrageously good value at £6.70, for unlimited travel.
