Israel destroys Gaza tower housing foreign media - BBC News

A tower block in Gaza, housing media organisations, including The Associated Press and Al-Jazeera, plus a number of offices and apartments, has collapsed after being hit by an Israeli strike.The building had been evacuated beforehand after the owner received a warning by Israel in advance of the attack, Reuters news agency says.In a statement released shortly afterwards, the Israeli military said the building housed military assets belonging to Hamas, the Palestinian militant group that rules Gaza.Earlier, at least 10 people were killed, including children, in a strike on a refugee camp in Gaza, according to officials.Hamas has fired dozens of rockets at cities in Israel, killing one man near Tel Aviv.Please subscribe HERE http://bit.ly/1rbfUog#Israel #Gaza #BBCNews

Buildings collapse as Israel carries out hundreds of airstrikes in Gaza

Israel carried out hundreds of airstrikes in Gaza into Wednesday morning, while over the same period of time Hamas fired multiple rocket barrages at Tel Aviv and the Southern city of Beer Sheva. One multi-story residential building, a tower reported to be housing Hamas and other media outlets in Gaza City, was totally destroyed after Israel warned occupants in advance to evacuate, and another structure was heavily damaged in airstrikes. That’s because Texas is on its own electrical grid, separate from the rest of the country, which means it can’t easily get power from other states in an emergency.But Texas's grid itself is not what failed. Power went out across Texas in the first place because energy sources across the state were unprepared for severe weather. And that didn’t have to happen; Texas had been warned about this exact scenario, and had actually experienced versions of it twice in the last 30 years.
