Mountain Bikers Worried About Military Land Being Fenced Off
A group of mountain bikers are concerned that they might not be allowed to ride on an area of military land in the future. A response to a Freedom of Information Request from Trail Action Group has revealed plans to build a ‘dog proof’ fence around the perimeter of what’s known as Long Valley North - 900 acres of military land between Aldershot and Fleet. Whilst this land is owned by the military, people are allowed to use it for recreation. Katherine Bett went down to Long Valley to find out more.
